I don’t know about you, but I am a strong believer in karma– both good and bad. I’m going to be the first one to admit that I’ve faced some bad karma in my lifetime and boy, did it humble me in many ways…but on the contrary, I’ve also been blessed tenfold with good karma.

Lately, I’ve witnessed many accounts of bad karma hit specific individuals; some, in my opinion, who were undeserving (but who am I to say) and others whom… let’s just say, definitely had it coming to them.
For the majority of 2019, I came across individuals who, in nicer terms, did me “dirty“. At times I wished to seek revenge, but deep down I knew that it wouldn’t benefit my life in any way, so I just held on to the belief that karma would come around sooner or later to mirror their actions.

And….surprise, surprise here comes 2020 knocking on some doors.
I’m sure some of you are familiar with this quote :
“No need for revenge. Just sit back and wait. Those who hurt you will eventually screw up themselves and if you’re lucky, God will let you watch.”
It’s true — God, in fact, did and has been letting me watch. I’m not quite sure of what’s been going on but this year it seems most of those people have been getting served a delicious slice of humble pie…

Just to clarify, I really don’t wish bad on others and this post isn’t really about that. It’s not that I was sitting here waiting for karma to catch up with them so I could simply boast about it on my social media.
The sole reason why I waited for these individuals to get what was coming to them was in hopes that they would finally be HUMBLED enough to realize their actions. That their unfortunate experiences may be a lesson learned to change their outlook on life and how they treat others… and hopefully to reflect and take accountability for their past behaviors.

Take it from someone who has faced an endless amount of misfortune. There have been countless moments in life that have constantly made me think of my inexcusable past that I wasn’t proud of and it all circled back to me thinking that “karma’ was the biggest influence of my current adversity. Each time, I learned a different lesson and became more aware of my actions. I have the “you get what you give” and “what you put out comes back to you” mantras on loop in the back of my head, acting as a catalyst to change some toxic behaviors within me.

So, for those who think that they can get away with hurting, manipulating, and projecting negative ways without any consequences, I hope they soon realize that the tables will eventually turn.
Whether you believe in karma or another form of it, I hope you can all take a step back to realize the type of energy you’re putting it out and how you treat others before it comes knocking on your doorstep. We’re not perfect in sense and you’re bound to mess up somehow along the way, but as long as you have pure intentions, there’s no doubt that you will get exactly what you deserve back.

I hope you can gain a little something from this post to carry with you daily. Thanks so much for reading and please know your support means a lot.
