I know I am waaaaay overdue with posting (minus my feature ones) so to ease into my regular all about me posts, I thought it’d be fun to do a little Q&A about me to share a little more about myself (hopefully I won’t give hackers any password ideas along the way). So, hopefully this will give you guys some insight of who I am minus the struggles, stress and dark times I’ve gone through.
Do you have any nicknames?
I do have a couple nicknames and they were all mostly give to me. My very first one is one that my family and a very few close friends know… I don’t want to share because TBH, I’m not too fond of it LOL. Aside from that I’ve also been called Karizzle, K-Money, Queen Karen, Cupcake, Karebear & Karey. (Of course some people have prob have some not-so-nice ones as well but we won’t mention those… lol)

Where did you grow up and what kind of activities did you do in high school?
I grew up in South Florida, specifically in the Boynton/Lake Worth area. In high school I was on the tennis team, yearbook (Student Life editor during my senior year), HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) for like a year and I think that’s about it.
When you were little what did you wanna be when you grew up?
Looking back I think the first thing I wanted to be was a teacher. Eventually that changed to a lot of professions within the medical field and now I’m in Public Relations/Marketing.
5 things you are currently crushing on right now.
Candles!!! – I found a scent called Sandalwood Suede that I am absolutely obsessed with! Reminds me of a Henri Bendel scent I LOVED!
Personal Blender– I finally caved and bought one after admiring it for months! It’s so cute and convenient! SMOOTHIES ALLLLL DAY
Blogging – this quarantine has really motivated me to focus more on my blog and stay consistent since I’ve been neglecting it for a couple years.
Animal Crossing– I’ve played over 370+ hours since getting the game in March and I’m still going. My town currently has a 4-star rating and I still have so much work to do.
Netflix– I’ve been trying to watch new shows and documentaries (I love learning), catch up on the ones I haven’t finished and of course rewatching Grey’s Anatomy.
What’s the biggest project on your to-do list right now?
It would probably working on this blog. I really want to build it up to the way I’ve always imagined and I’m so happy that I finally launched the Leave Your Mark segment this year. So, definitely look out every Friday for that!
What’s something you wish you could do one more time?
Live with my parents…As much as I love living on my own and having my own privacy now, I definitely took it for graned growing up. Now that we’re all scattered around, it’s definitely made me realize how much I miss seeing them. The past 2 years have been sad not being fully together during birthdays and holidays but hopefully we we can all reunite soon.

Have you traveled out of the country and if so, to where?
Yes! I was actually born in the Philippines and moved Las Vegas when I was about 5-6, before settling in Florida. We went back to the Philippines to visit our relatives when in 2005 when I was 15 & haven’t been back since. In 2014 and 15, I also went on a cruises and got to visit the Bahamas, Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Aruba and Curaçao. Aside from that, I’ve also been to the airport in Japan but I don’t think counts. There’s still so many more places on my list and hopefully I’ll be able to travel to those places sooner than later.
2015- Freeport, Bahamas 2015- Nassau, Bahamas 2014- Grand Turk 2014- Dominican Republic 2015- Aruba 2015- Aruba 2015- Curaçao 2015- Curaçao 2015- Curaçao 2015- Curaçao
Are you a light packer or take everything you own kinda gal?
LOL, I most definitely overpack. I don’t know why but I always think of the worst case scenerios. I’ve gotten a lot better with the shorter getaways but even still I bring two weeks worth of underwear.
Who are your favorite Instagram accounts?
I haven’t been too active on Instagram in awhile except on Stories. But when I do get to scroll once in awhile, I enjoy seeing posts from hand lettering artists like @creativeplan, gorgeous photos of places to travel to from @discoverearth, positive messages from pages like @moonomens, mental health awareness from @nedratawwab & @dlcanxiety and of course poems from @rmdrk.
Name 3 things you eat every day + 3 you’ll never be caught eating.
There’s not really anything specific that I eat daily and if you really know me, I like to change things up. I’m definitely NOT a picky eater but 3 things I just can’t acquire taste for would be black olives, enchiladas (STILL traumatized from eating it when I was younger- story for another day) and kale (Craig said to try it oven-roasted, maybe it’ll change my mind).
What type of music do you listen to?
I hate this question because if you were to look at my playlists, it’s all over the place. During my middle and high school days I was really into bands – emo, alternative, pop punk, rock, etc. I still listen to a lot of the music from back then but recently I’ve been obsessed with music from artists like Alina Baraz, Sza, Kiana Ledé, Sabrina Claudio, BANKS, Morgan Saint, H.E.R, Khalid, Drake. I love discovering new music so feel free to drop suggestions in the comments!
What age did you first start working and what was you first job?
I first started working when I was 17-18 as a hostess at R.J. Gator’s in Boynton. My friend Amanda worked there and got me a job because I really wanted extra money for my extracurricular activities lol. It was good for a first job but it was so slow because the business was declining. I remember getting in trouble because I would bring my Anatomy book and study behind the hostess stand. There would be nights where we’d only see like 5 customers. Looking back, what I only really liked about it were the rockers in the restaurant and the lava cakes lol
What made you decide to start you blog?
Not many people know this but I first started this blog back in 2014. At first I was just looking for a creative outlet by sharing my daily outfits and everyday tasks. I got pretty busy with life and it wasn’t until 2018 where I started picking it back up again. This time I used it more as therapy session and I decided to write more about my personal experiences and things I had to overcome. I still only shared it with a couple people and wouldn’t really promote it. It wasn’t until January of 2019, when I shared my post Due Date: December 20. 2018 about my ectopic pregnancy, that people found out about my blog. After getting a lot of feedback & stories of how they related to my post, I wanted to continue sharing my journey. I was happy to share something that impacted some people’s lives in a way. Recently, I started my “Leave Your Mark” segment to help showcase some of my friends and family’s talents. I just really hope people take away something good with every post I write.
I hope y’all enjoyed getting to know a little more about me! Don’t be shy & feel free to ask me any questions in the comments below or message me. Let’s be friends! 🙂
